Doctors in Singapore have seen a 40 per cent drop in asthma attacks triggered by respiratory tract infections like cough and runny nose in recent months. It is partially thanks to measures like wearing masks, hand washing and safe distancing. But experts warn against complacency. As asthma symptoms could be similar to that of COVID-19, they said some asthma patients may be hesitant to seek medical help during this period. Dr Adrian Chan, a respiratory specialist and President of the Asthma & Allergy Association Singapore, spoke about how the pandemic has impacted asthma patients.
