Freshly grated coconut is the best to use for this recipe. but you can still use desiccated coconut by adding coconut milk or fresh milk and allowing few minutes to absorb.
you make this coconut Roti even tastier by adding chopped onions, green chillies, carrot and leeks.
add water little by little to make perfect unsticky dough.use hands to mix the dough. but avoid over kneading the dough.
You make the Roti thinner or thicker but remember to adjust cooking time accordingly. Thicker Roti may need extra time to cook inside.
Flipping the Roti time to time while on the pan is the best way to cook a perfect Roti.
spread some butter on the top of the Roti once cook. It makes Roti more flavorful.
You can serve Roti warm with a curry or any topping you like.

All-purpose flour 2 cups
Fresh coconut/ desiccated coconut 1 cup
fresh Milk 1/4 cup
Water 1/2 cup+ 3 TBSP
salt 1 tsp
Ingredients for hot Chilli paste
medium Onion 1/2
Medium tomato 1/4
Red chillies 2 Nos ( optional )
Salt 1/2 tsp
chilli flakes 2 tbsp
(change according to the preference)
Lime 1/2
Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
