Ingredients
To make masala
Onion - 1 no finely chopped
Garlic - 6 cloves
Ginger - 1 no. Chopped
Green chili - 2 nos finely chopped
Red chilies - 8 nos. Soaked
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Water
To marinate the chicken
Chicken - 1 kg
Rock salt - 1 tsp
Juice of one lemon
Ground masala paste
To make chicken tawa
Gingelly oil - 3 tbsp
Curry leaves
Marinated chicken
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Water - 1/2 cup
Method
Soak the red chilies in water for 1 hour
In a mixer jar, add onions, ginger, garlic, green chili, soaked red chilies, turmeric powder and grind it into a fine paste
To the chicken pieces, add salt, lemon juice and the ground masala and mix well
Marinate the chicken for 1 hr
Heat a tawa pour oil ( coconut or gingelly ) add a few curry leaves
Add the marinated chicken, add salt, pepper, coriander powder and cook until done.
Add coriander leaves once the chicken is cooked.
Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot
