Here’s a Victorian comet brooch made using Bohemian garnets. I like its long skinny line.

It would work so well on a lapel, possibly with a scattering of garnet star brooches.

The back reveals that it was once a hair ornament, hence the elongated line that would have suited the elaborate, upswept hairstyles of much of the 19th century.
