3 men are stranded on a deserted island in the Gulf of California and attempt to hike to the northern shore for 12 days to attract passing fishermen. They rely on scraps they collect on the island in order to survive. After eight days, rescuers searching on the wrong side of the island give them up for dead and Lorenzo dies on Day 12.
