9 Basic Chinese stroke order rules you should know

Two things to point out: the rules shown in this video are those used in the simplified Chinese, may differ from that of traditional stroke patterns. Besides, even with this stroke order rules, there are always exceptions, you can check out the correct stroke order from the dictionary.

Chinese stroke order rule NO.1: From top to bottom, from left to right. 从上到下，从左到右。
Chinese stroke order rule NO.2: Horizontal before vertical. 先横后竖
Chinese stroke order rule NO.3: From left-falling stroke to right-falling stroke. 先撇后捺
Chinese stroke order rule NO.4: Outside before inside. 先外后里
Chinese stroke order rule NO.5: Inside before bottom enclosing. 先里头再封口
Chinese stroke order rule NO.6: Middle first, then two sides. 先中间后两边
Chinese stroke order rule NO.7: Cutting strokes last. 相交笔画后写
Chinese stroke order rule NO.8: Bottom enclosure last. 左下包围结构，先里后外
Chinese stroke order rule NO.9: Special rules for dots.
A: if dots in the top left, write it first. 点在上面或左上先写
B: inside or upper right dots last. 点在右上或里边后写
