Who knew you could find char kway teow on a tiny island? 😋This hawker centre is so elusive, it only opens once a month every year, and you have to take a 20 minute boat ride to get there.
Hear the story of Uncle Lai, one of the last remaining hawkers on Kusu Island.
NOTE: The hawker centre only opens during the 9th lunar month for the Kusu Island pilgrimage. The next time it opens will be 26 September 2022.
This video is part of our Neighbours series. We walk past them every day, not realising that even the most ordinary of people have extraordinary stories to tell. Hear them speak.
