Happy birthday, Navy Nurses!
On this day in 1908, President Theodore Roosevelt signed a bill formally establishing the Navy Nurse Corps as a unique component of the U.S. Navy. For 113 years (and counting!), Navy Nurses have provided world-class care to Marines, Sailors, military families, and people in need around the globe.
Several of our very own Navy Nurses serving at the Center City Community Vaccination Center in Philadelphia with Combat Logistics Battalion-22 recently reflected on what it means to be a member of the Nurse Corps.
