This is one of the questions we are asked on a daily basis and it is very easy to remember. It should be kept in mind that, unlike men who begin producing sperm in their testes from when they go through puberty and never stop doing so, the situation for women is entirely the opposite. The ovary can only produce oocytes for a very short period of time - just 3 months. This is the only time in a woman's life when the ovary is able to generate oocytes and it happens, furthermore, during the prenatal period.
