Welcome to the boatluv.com Coastal Navigation Practice Questions Series. I have created this series to help you ACE YOUR EXAM! In the Spring of 2019, I took my ASA105 from The Maryland School of Sailing with Capt. Tom Tursi as the instructor and course book creator, and when I took my final exam, I got 100%! This is not to brag! It's just to demonstrate that the way I succeeded was to actually film myself working through these practice questions. And I practiced a lot! And messed up a lot! So, the result, is this series.
If you want the actual downloadable PDF of the procedure in this video, visit the blog post [ Ссылка ] on my website www.boatluv.com
For now, this series is completely FREE, including the downloads! I am hoping you'll also check out the cool schwag I have on the site too!
Okay, so for this video:
How to Plot a Running Fix:
You will recognize this kind of question, because there will be 2 bearings taken off the same "landmark" but at different times.
So, you are travelling along in your boat, you are keeping your speed and your ship's heading constant, and you take a bearing reading on a prominent landmark (tower, lighthouse, beacon - buoys move too much) and then travel for a bit and then take another bearing sight on the same landmark!
Visit www.boatluv.com to read the full question and to work through the problem with diagrams.
