I was interested in the difference that loads make to tone. So I took one of my amps that has speaker outs for 4, 8 and 16 ohm and then ran that amp into my Power Station, which can match those loads at the amp input.
I then sent the Power Station out to a cab which I mic'd.
The cab isn't changing here, the only thing changing is the amp out (of the amp)/amp in (of the Power Station) where the loads were switched and matched for each sample.
I used a looper and recorded 4 samples ( 2 clean and 2 dirty). *I forgot to EQ the amp for the dirty samples, so apologies for that, and I'm too lazy to go back and re-shoot it.
Clean Sample 1 - 0:00
Clean Sample 2 - 1:02
Dirty Sample 1 - 1:52
Dirty Sample 2 - 2:47
