Delicious and rustic looking appetizer for any celebration, game day or holiday. This recipe has been around forever but I'm still surprised when someone has never tried it or heard of it before. I forgot to mention that tortilla chips go really well with this also, except make it creamier than I did if you plan on using chips.
Spinach dip (from the Knorr Vegetable soup mix package)
1 envelope of Knorr vegetable soup mix
1 ten oz. package of chopped frozen spinach, thawed and squeeze the water out of it (I only like using half)
1 cup of mayonnaise (I didn't use this)
16 oz. of sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
1 can (8 oz.) of water chestnuts, chopped (I wasn't feeling like adding them)
3 green onions (or how many ever you have or want)
Serve with french baguette slices or sourdough bread slices or crackers or tortilla chips.
As you'll see when you watched the video that I didn't even do it right (just put in 16 oz. of sour cream and didn't add more to compensate for not adding in the mayonnaise) and it turned out great. Adding the mayo would make it creamier so do that if you want to.
Add some other things to the tray and you'll turn it into a Charcuterie board like I did. LOL
