If you're not familiar with "Pinky & The Brain" and/or "Animaniacs", this video will make no sense.
I worked at a CompUSA store in the late 1990s through about 2003 or 2004. One day, while working at my merchandiser's desk creating signage or a sign template, I heard one of the corporate sales department people instruct another who was working with a corporate customer, "Have him fill out a NARF."
When their conversation was over I asked her, "Did you say 'NARF'?"
Indeed she did. I found out what it was and picked up a copy of the New Account Request Form (NARF). I've been meaning to show it to people ever since. When I decided more people would see it if I showed it on video, my mind went into overdrive creating a scene wherein Pinky himself would show it. So finally, last night, I dug him (and Yakko) out of the closet and recorded this.
When I mentioned the NARF to Tom Ruegger recently, he immediately figured that the CompUSA corporate folks must have been Pinky & The Brain fans. (That CompUSA went bankrupt in 2006 leads one to think that it may have been run by the Brain, since his plans always fail...) However, the bottom of the form has "rev. 0792" on it, which could mean July 1992, thus pre-dating the debut of everyone's favorite lab mice. So it may have been a coincidence.
