OLD SCHOOL ROASTED PRIME RIB OF BEEF
This is for the awesome prime rib lovers out there in my old school soul food family
Some of y'all do not like prime rib or do not eat it rare to medium rare as i do
But this is the way i make and eat mine
This a very simple flavorful fool proof way to cook prime rib roast
RECIPE:
3-5 pounds prime rib roast
3 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons fresh cracked pepper
2 tablespoon lemon pepper
Preheat oven to 450°F. Season roast evenly with salt and pepper. Place roast bone-side down in pan.
Place beef in oven and roast 15-30 minutes
Reduce heat to 325°F and continue roasting about 2- 3/4 hours for medium (when thermometer registers 135-140°F).
Transfer roast to cutting board; loosely tent with foil and let rest 15 minutes. Slice roast across the grain
