Studio etiquette tip! Remove your piece from the bat once it's firmed up a bit so others can use that bat.

1. Lay out a piece of plastic next to you.
2. Undercut your pot with a wire tool.
3. Carefully lift your pot, using both hands and keeping them close to the base where the clay is thicker.
4. Place your pot on the center of the plastic. If the rim of your piece distorts, you can gently coax it back into shape.
5. Lift the edges of the plastic and tuck them inside your pot to wrap your piece. Don't forget to label your piece with your name before you return it to the shelf!
6. Clean off the bat by scraping off the pad of clay and wiping it clean with a damp sponge.
