An interview with Dr. Lee Alvoid, co-editor of her high school newspaper in San Antonio in 1963. Alvoid briefly met President and Mrs. Kennedy, and attended a student press conference with the president, during the Kennedys’ visit to Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio on November 21, 1963. Prior to joining the faculty of Southern Methodist University in 2001, Alvoid spent the first thirty-two years of her career as a teacher and principal in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch school district in Texas. The program, moderated by Curator Stephen Fagin, took place at the Museum on June 28, 2024.
