Recipe:
Ingredients-
½ Cup of Sliced Coconut
5-6 Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
Handful of Roasted Peanuts (Singdana)
1-1.5 Teaspoon of Sugar
Salt
For tempering:
Clarified Butter (Ghee)
1 Teaspoon of Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi patta)
Method-
1. In a mixer bowl, take sliced coconut, green chillies (hari mirch), roasted peanuts, salt and sugar.
2. Make a paste and add water to get the consistency of chutney.
3. In a small utensil take some clarified butter.
4. Add cumin seeds (jeera) and curry leaves (kadi patta).
5. Add this hot tempering to the chutney and your upvas chutney is ready to enjoy with Sabudana Vada (Sago Vada).
