Blockchain is the driving force of the next generation Internet, also referred to as the decentralized web. It allows us to decentralise trust, creating the basis for a P2P society powered by auto enforceable smart contracts. Smart contracts on the blockchain disintermediate transactions and radically reduce transactions costs. The promise of blockchain has therefore been to challenge centralized, top-down decision-making through auto enforceable code, decentralized control and radical transparency.This talk will give an insight into use cases and potential implications of this new technology.
