The human mind thinks approximately 70,000 thoughts per day - that is a lot of thinking! Some of those thoughts are helpful, and some of them are not. We don’t want to get rid of the thinking mind - but when we meditate, we do learn how to quiet it down. We learn how to still the fluctuations that occur at every given moment of our waking lives.
