While we were in Key West, we took a day trip over to the Dry Tortugas National Park. It was a great trip - highly recommend making at least a day trip of it. We plan on doing a camping trip there next time we're down that direction.

We took the Yankee Freedom over. There are other options, like seaplanes and private dive/snorkel boats, but the Yankee Freedom is the most affordable option...and it's the only option for the camping trips, as far as we know.

While we were there, we explored the fort, took in some history, and did a bit of snorkeling.

The ride over was smooth, as the boat is a catamaran. The trip back was at a decent hour, and we got back into town in time for dinner, a wonderful Key West sunset, and nightlife.
