Paal Paniyaram
Ingredients
Raw Rice - 1/2 cup
Urad Dal - 1/2 cup
Coconut milk
Sugar - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Salt
Water
Oil for Frying
Method
Soak the dal and rice for two hours.
Extract coconut milk from the coconut and add sugar with the coconut milk.
Add cardamom powder and mix it all in.
Transfer the soaked dal and rice into a mixer jar, add little water and grind it to a smooth batter.
Transfer it to a bowl and keep it aside.
To this batter, add a pinch of salt, little water and mix well.
The batter should be light and fluffy enough to absorb the coconut milk, then only the taste will be good.
To a wide pan, add enough oil for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, take a small portion of the batter and gently drop it into the hot oil.
Once it is fried on all the sides and becomes crispy remove it from the oil. You can fry them in batches and keep it aside.
Now add the crispy paniyaram into the coconut milk and soak it for at least 05-10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, yummy and delicious pal paniyaram is ready to be served nice and juicy..
