Charlie burns the count's trousers while ironing and gets fired. The tailor attends a dinner party instead of the count. Charlie meets the cook in the kitchen and attracts the butler and a policeman. To avoid being caught, Charlie pretends to be the count's secretary. The real count arrives later.
