BHABHA ATOMIC RESEARCH CENTRE Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Bhabha Atomic Research Centre Training Schools invites the application forms for to apply for recruitment as Scientific Officers (Group-A post of Government of India) in Department of Atomic Energy through its academic programs OCES-2023 and DGFS-2023.
BARC Training Schools provide two Training Schemes to deserving candidates ambitious of pursuing a rewarding career in Nuclear Science, Engineering and Technology
Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates (OCES): one year Orientation Course:
DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates (DGFS): Two year
Graduate Fellowship Scheme:
Stipend and Allowances during Training: OCES TSOs are paid a stipend of ₹ 55,000 per month during the period of their Training and a one- time book allowance of ₹ 18,000.
DGFS Fellows are paid a stipend of ₹ 55,000 per month for two years and reimbursed the tuition fee for M.Tech. and are additionally paid a one-time Contingency Grant of ₹40,000 per annum for 2 years to meet M.Tech. project related expenses.
After successful Completion of the training Schemes candidate will be appointed as Scientist Officer

Scientific Officer in a Group-A Post of theGovernment of India in the Level 10 –₹ 56,100/- of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Screening for Selection Interviews is based on two alternative methods:
There is a separate two stage selection process.
1. Screening- on the basis of online Exam/ GATE Score
2. Selection Interview for each of the Exam disciplines.

Selection Interviews of short-listed candidates will be conducted in Mumbai (in all disciplines except Geology) and Hyderabad (in Geology).A list of provisionally (subject to medical fitness) selected candidates will be displayed on this website in July, 2023.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
B.E./B.Tech./ B.Sc.(Engineering) /5-year Integrated M.Tech. with a minimum of 60% in engineering.
GATE-2022 or GATE-2023 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline.
AGE LIMIT
Age will be calculated as 01-08-2023
Lower Age Limit: 18 years
Upper age Limit:
General Category: 26 Years
OBCs: 29 Years
SC/ST: 31 Years
Online Exam Pattern:
All questions of the Online Exam are of objective type (multiple choice questions with only)
Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of mark (-1mark).
There will be 100 questions in all.
The questions are so designed that a good candidate will be able to answer 100 questions in 120 minutes.
Questions will be from Discipline Knowledge only.
