Today we conduct a float test on the Sun Dolphin kayak . The modifications that were made allow slightly more water in the boat if/when it should capsize. The boat stayed afloat, and did not sink. The three styrofoam blocks in the kayak must remain to help with flotation. It is recommended that every kayak owner conduct similar tests in shallow water, to determine what effects your modifications will cause (if any).
