The first iftar of Ramadan was held in Sultanahmet Square, where many people from Turkey and abroad gathered.
Citizens waited for the iftar hour by taking out the food they brought from their homes or bought in packages from the surrounding shopkeepers on the table cloths they laid on the lawns and benches in the square.
Citizens showed great interest in the Mehter team performing with the organization of Fatih Municipality.
