Good Morning!😃
Sometimes we encounter many challenges when doing posterior restoration especially in class II cavity cases. In addition to the location of the cavity which is sometimes difficult to access, even more so with the many choices of matrices on the market.
According to journals, sectional matrix is the most ideal matrix for restoring class II cavities. The Biofit matrix has a transparent matrix that can create a good tooth contour and embrasure so that allows the composite at the proximal margin to perfectly polymerized, supported by a diamond wedge with its unique shape so that it is able to stabilize and adapt the matrix on the tooth surface. Then the separation effect by the twinring is able to produce good interproximal contact. When combined with the use of composites that have high filler loading and low shrinkage stress, it can certainly produce a good restoration 😊
This is a step by step tutorial video of me doing class II direct composite restoration using Biofit by Bioclear sectional matrix on a dental phantom. I used Tokuyama Palfique Bulkflow and LX5 composites with Nexton instruments. I did this in collaboration with Revoden Asia. Just don't forget to use rubber dam isolation during the treatment! Hope this video usefull for you dentists and soon to be dentists! 😉
