미얀마 쿠데타 규탄시위 또 유혈진압…누적 사망자 100명 육박
As protests continue in Myanmar against the military coup, the number of people killed by security forces there is approaching one hundred.
According to a report by The Irrawaddy, a publication run by Burmese exiles, nine more civilians were killed on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 92.
Reuters put Saturday's deaths at 12, citing local media, and the total at "more than 70."
The same day, the acting leader of the deposed civilian government, Mahn Win Khaing Than,... addressed the public for the first time via Facebook, vowing to pursue a "revolution" to overturn the coup.
He and a group of ousted lawmakers have called for the formation of a federal democracy, and have been meeting with the armed organizations country's different ethnic groups.
