Swedish soul singer Seinabo Sey ("Younger") talks her empowering songs "I Owe You Nothing" and "Breathe", growing up in Sweden and Gambia - and explains why she's tired of being exoticized as a Black Swede.
About Seinabo Sey
Seinabo Sey is well known for her intelligent, empowering soul-pop anthems and videos. She was born into a musical family, with her father working as a professional musician himself. She grew up in Europe and Africa, began releasing music in 2010 and had her breakthrough in 2013 with her single "Younger". So far, Seinabo released two successful albums ("Pretend" and "I'm A Dream") and a number of singles such as "I Owe You Nothing" and "Pistols at Dawn". Additionally, she collaborated with Stor and Linda Pira, and toured with Maskinen und Oskar Linnros.
