Innaa lillaahi wa Innaa illayhi raaji'oon
‎إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيهِ رَاجِعُون

I remember hearing the khutbahs and lectures of Shaykh Muhammad al-Shareef very early in my Islam, Allah have mercy on him. To say he had an impact on my development would be an understatement, let alone the path he paved for the Da'wah in the west, he was a pioneer of Dawah. Masha Allah, he would combine the good he could find from the non-Muslims and incorporate it into his dawah, something I feel we always need to do, take the good, leave the bad, and not write people off or x them.

He's from the early Madinah graduates to start things off in the English language. I never got to meet him, but one of his characteristics was he would always be beaming with a smile, and that was part of the Sunnah of the Messenger ﷺ he would teach and implement.

Shocking news to me, even though of course, death can come to anyone of us.

Perhaps part of his biggest impact is his course on how to put together a Khutbah, all the OGs know about it, Allahumma baarik. Very useful.

Ya Allah have mercy upon Sh Muhammad and grant his family patience.
