At Weill Cornell Medicine, we value each and every patient who visits us, no matter their age, sex, or background. With the help of incredible doctors like Geriatrician Dr. Karin Ouchida, we are better able to understand the life stories and needs of our senior patients.
For Dr. Ouchida, working closely with seniors has always been hugely rewarding. Drawing from her own personal family experiences and the one-on-one relationships she creates with each patient, Dr. Ouchida is a prime example of what it means to be a compassionate and caring doctor. Every day she is amazed by the resilience of her patients, just as she was when she learned about of the resilience of her own family members who experienced the Japanese internment camps during WWII.
At Weill Cornell Medicine, we value our geriatric patients and want to provide them with the highest level of patient care possible. Creating strong doctor/patient relationships is something that comes naturally to Dr. Ouchida and is one of the many reasons she chooses to work as the Program Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship here at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
