In 2004, 3 separate dark green suitcases, containing pieces of a dismembered body, were found in and around the Chesapeake Bay, near Virginia Beach.
His wife, Melanie McGuire, a nurse and the mother of his 2 sons, was later convicted of murdering him and dumping his body. She was sentenced to life in prison.
