"The MMO Genre is dead" has been a common refrain for well over a decade. From reddit posts to articles, people have opined about the death of the mmorpg.

In this series, I set out to prove that wrong by showcasing some of the MMOs that are not only doing well, but have a bright future ahead. In this episode, we're going to go to Tyria, looking at Guild Wars 2 and what they're up to as they celebrate their 10th anniversary. This mmorpg by Arenanet and published by NCSoft has had a pretty amazing 2022, one I'm sure they're very happy about following a few tumultuous years.

A launch on Steam for the MMO, a new expansion, and increasing player numbers highlight some of the excitement around this older MMO in 2022.
