One size doesn't always fit all!
We know that some of you have larger families, bigger lawns and some of you may indulge a little more as well. This can mean that the standard bin system that Council provides may not work for you.
If you are finding your current bin service is not providing you enough disposal space and your bins are overflowing, the first step is to see if you can reduce and recycle more of your waste to help with this ♻️💚🌏.

Bin lids should always be closed, overflowing bins can create litter in our streets and waterways.
If your bins are overflowing, you should look into upgrading your service. Central Coast Council offers residents the choice of a 140 litre, 240 litre or 360 litre red lid general waste bin as well as a 240 litre or 360 litre yellow lid recycle bin as part of your residential waste service. You can also get additional quantities of any of the bins, so you green thumbs can have 2 or more green lid garden bins if needed!
Only property owners can request an upgrade or additional bins. If you rent the premises, you will need to contact the managing agent or the owner to discuss these changes. Please note that larger and additional bins do cost more 💲 on the rates for your property.
