On August 17th 1987 the first shots of The Battle of Cuito Cuanavale were fired as the Angolan Government and its Communist allies launch an all out offensive against Unita guerillas. The ensuing battle would draw in ever increasing South African support and would ultimately change the face of the continent, and also shape world politics forever.
Made by independent film maker, Kevin Hamann, viewers will gain insight into what really happened in Angola and how it shaped not only the politics of Africa, but also left an indelible imprint on the annals of military history and generations to come.
