Created in 2011 for the International Dance Gala in Stuttgart to raise funds in aid of Alzheimer's, “Istante” is a deeply spiritual work in which the dancers personify the hearts and souls, the very essence, of Alzheimer’s sufferers and their loved ones, connecting in those rare, precious, unpredictable but intense moments of lucidity – intimate moments when they come together again, when their hearts and souls become one. “Istante” aims to draw the audience directly into this world and into a reflection on the profound fragility of life.
