Now, don't get me wrong. Shadow of the Erdtree is a fantastic DLC and I loved every second of it.
But it kept on Elden Ring's tradition of boss weapons being disappointing.
I know people were more disappointed in Radahn's Greatswords, but personally, I was way more disappointed of Messmer's Spear.
Such a cool boss, with a really well made moveset. One of the best bosses ever made in a FromSoft game, and when you get his weapon, you get the godawful normal Great Spear moveset, with heavies replaced by ridiculously weak throws. You don't even wield the weapon like the boss does.
I wanted this one to really feel good to play with, and to me, it does.
It really needed a custom moveset.
