Water is gold in the West. One of the most successful State and Federal projects ever to be instigated was the Central Utah Water Project. The cost was three billion dollars (in 1967). But, now, more than 30 years after it was started, water is flowing during one of the driest spells Utah has seen since the drought of the 1930's.
