Commercial plastic packaging straps are a growing threat to marine animals, and sadly, they are becoming common sights around seals. During a rescue, our team found a young seal pup with one of these straps around its neck. Although confused, the pup seemed relieved as we removed the strap, quickly hurried back to the sea to rejoin its colony.
