Still, in many parts of the world, children see warplanes in the sky instead of kites. The sky is a cloud of fear that descends on them instead of an endless window of dreams. At this point, Baykar continues to stand by the oppressed and the victim with aircraft that are the messenger and supporter of peace, so that the children can make peace with the sky and the kites can take off again.
Many weapons and technologies have a positive or negative place in the minds, depending on the purpose of being produced. We all know very well the names of the battle rifles that we are accustomed to refer to with terrorist organizations today, or the tanks that point their barrels at defenseless houses, and none of these technologies will be remembered better. Baykar, using the technology of unmanned aerial vehicles, has become the symbol of a power that does not scare the innocent, but extends a hand to them, when his name is mentioned with his stance and successful operations until now.
With this in mind, we designed a sculptural structure that visualizes the transformation of unmanned aerial vehicles into kites. This structure tells the story of how the drones, who supported the freedom struggle of the peoples they helped, continue their lives as free kites in the sky after completing their mission.
Since it welcomes the visitors to Özdemir Bayraktar Technology Center first, we found it important that the design reflects the mission and vision of the brand, as well as having such a story that strengthens its international image. Rather than doing this installation work with only some futuristic elements, like a technology manufacturer devoid of emotions, we found it more appropriate to make a design that refers to Baykar's distinctive awareness and consciousness, and that can be 'human' as well as technological.
