Some time ago whilst YouTubing, I stumbled across several videos of old seafaring songs or sea "shanties". Unbelievably, that triggered some very ancient RAM of elementary school music classes wherein we were taught several of those songs. And I remembered snatches of this one.

So I went looking for lyrics and videos of performances. I got to wondering if Cape Cod Girls might not be arranged for clawhammer style banjo. It might not... some will say shouldn't ever... but here's the result. It's not a traditional rendition, but then life is too short to play everything like it's "supposed to be".
