Boris Johnson confirmed the lifting of all long-term coronavirus rules this afternoon as he set out England's strategy to "live with Covid".
Mr Johnson said the "heavy cost" of restrictions could no longer be justified.
"We don't need laws to compel people to be considerate to others," he told the Commons.
"We can rely on that sense of responsibility towards one another, providing practical advice in the knowledge that people will follow it to avoid infecting loved ones and others."
