Built in California and it lived in Arizona until we grabbed it. The motor was just rebuilt. It presents itself like a show car but makes a great driver too. A/c, ps, pdb make it comfortable.
EXTERIOR: The body looks like it's laser beam straight across the top and down the sides. I don't see any rust or damage; it is smooth right down to the bottom. The gaps line up real square. Slick 2 tone PPG paint job broke up with a red pin stripe. It's laid out evenly and has a smooth glossy finish. The 2 tone continues into the jambs. Overall, very good chrome and trim. Weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. Correct T-3 headlamps. It has a great stance sitting on 17 US Mag wheels. They are wrapped in performance tires, a little bit fatter in the back. Smoked glass all around.
INTERIOR: Premium Ciadella interior. Down on the floor the carpet looks new and it has reproduction rubber mats. In front of me the dash pad, chrome bezels, wood grain, lenses are clean. It has a retro stereo in the factory hole with there are kick panel speakers an 6x9s behind the seats. Nice, cushioned grip steering wheel on a tilt column. The bucket seats have been recushioned and upholstered. New door panels and armrests. New headliner and visors.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor was just completely rebuilt, bored, and balanced. We have receipt and spec sheet. It's a 1969 4 bolt main 350 bored to a 360. It has a polished crank and reconditioned rods. New bearings, oil pump, Melling cam, timing set, lifters, pistons. The heads were completely rebuilt. New Torker ll intake and a polished Holley carb and HEI ignition. Dressed up with new aluminum timing cover, valve covers and air cleaner. Polished alternator and billet pulleys. It features factory air conditioning, updated to R134 freon. It also features power steering and brakes. Upgraded aluminum radiator and a new water pump keeps it running cool. Overall clean and proper appearance.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a clean straight bed that's been sprayed with a durable bed liner so it's actually very usable. The soft tonneau cover keeps things dry and out of site. The tailgate functions effortlessly.
UNDERSIDE: New shocks, control arm bushings, center link and idler arm in front. It looks like it has drop spindles too. Upgraded UMI Performance rear suspension including tubular control arms, swaybar new shocks and springs. Upgraded front disc brake conversion, e-brake is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it has an anodized oil pan, new fuel pump and a high torque starter. Rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic with an aluminum pan and an external oil cooler. Rebuilt driveshaft, new u-joints and slip yoke. 12 bolt rear end with a Moser aluminum cover. Great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and turn down tips. The floors, braces, rockers, and lower quarters appear to be bone dry original metal.
This is a great looking El Camino that you can get a lot of use from. It's certainly nice enough to go to any car show, comfortable enough to use regularly. It's serviced, ready to go!
