Time lapse video of a high precision, three-step corner balance & alignment on my Time Attack Mazda RX-8 at the Group E (GRP.E) garage. Unlike most speed shops that do basically a two-step process (corner balance and then alignment), Group E does a three-step process: corner balance, align, and then a final corner balance.

After having seen the measurements with my own eyes, it's apparent why Group E goes through the extra trouble. Changes to my alignment made definite changes to the corner balance. With the three-step process, the final corner balance tweaks are small enough to not significantly disrupt the alignment set in step 2.

The hub stands are spectacular, and make it super easy to adjust ride height / corner weight, toe, camber, and caster while the suspension is "loaded".

The general process is:
- Jack up car and install hub stands and corner scales
- Loosen all suspension pivot and adjustment bolts / nuts
- Get the corner weights close using coilover length adjustments
- Dial in front caster
- Dial in front and rear camber with digital level
- Dial in front and rear toe with string box
- Final corner balance settings
- Lock in suspension bolts / nuts while loaded
- Make notes of the setup
- Put wheels back on: you're done!

Group E makes sure to gently rock the car back-and-forth between adjustments to settle the suspension (eliminating bind error). The result is a highly precise alignment according to your requirements.
