**Put on your headphones to really appreciate the sound difference with and without the fake sounds being piped through the Yaris GR speakers**
Short and simple video on how to disable the fake engine / exhaust sounds piped into the cabin in the Yaris GR using the Carista app and dongle, plus clips to listen to the difference.
The Toyota Yaris GR has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Engine Sound Enhancement (ESE) enabled by default.
ANC acts like noise cancelling headphones to help with the noise in the cabin, making the Yaris sound a bit more refined inside than it really is. But this gets a bit confused when you install an aftermarket exhaust.
ESE creates fake exhaust sounds to be played through the car's speakers, this sounds super synthetic! Once disabled you really get to appreciate how the car sounds, even with a quiet cat back exhaust system.
The disabling of these features is included in the RS Fabrications GR-RS300 package for the Toyota Yaris GR. The GR-RS300 package for the Yaris GR consists of the following:
- 300ps 400nm
- High quality 3 inch cat back performance exhaust with specification of your choosing for looks and sound (for more information please see the RS Fabrications website)
- DTUK Tuning Box with custom maps designed with DTUK to work safely with RS Fabrications cat back exhaust
- Fake exhaust speaker sound (Engine Sound Enhancement and Active Noise Cancellation) completely disabled
- All installed at the RS Fabrications premises
