Episode 3: Marwar Junction to Jodhpur via Luni Junction | Onboard 16312 Sri Ganganagar Express.
My train has now arrived at Marwar Junction, a bustling station where I get a glimpse of diesel-hauled broad-gauge trains actively maneuvering around. It's always a delight to see these powerful machines in action. Soon, our train departs, and we diverge from the tracks leading towards Ajmer, taking the route towards Jodhpur.
As the train snakes through the desert terrain, the charm of Rajasthan's landscapes unfolds—arid stretches dotted with vibrant villages and a timeless allure of history. My initial plan was to continue beyond Jodhpur towards Bikaner. However, I've decided to alter my journey and disembark at Jodhpur station at 4:30 PM. After spending an hour or two at this historic city’s railway station, I plan to board a direct train to Jaisalmer, ensuring my adventure through the desert continues.
