At the time of writing, this is one of 11 elderly ALX400 B7TLs based at West Bromwich. Most have had modifications to reduce their emissions. 4241 is filmed here on the 48A, which runs half hourly West Bromwich to Bearwood, and is a decent ride thanks to many hills. 4241 will reach 20 years old in July if it remains in service, a milestone not reached by any buses in the West Midlands for some time - Volvo B10Ls reached 18-19 when the final examples bowed out in 2015.
