Trunnion problem resolved, VB parts vendor didn't do the math, or research into what parts were needed for an after market trunnion kit replacement. VB is offering to pay shipping back to VB and a full refund, as I refused any exchange from their Trunnion kit parts bin. My 79 Spitfire will be out of service for a while longer. Update 11-30-2020 Another trunnion kit with oversized inner shims surfaced out of Calif. QSK151S with inner shims of .059'' thickness, not .022'' as the first video had came from VB. The distance tube is shorter and can not contact the outer water shields to hold the vertical link from crushing the shields. The supplier commented that the spacer is not part of the ??? anyway and greasing the O rings cause them to squish out the shims. I should put that on UT by Jan. next year. Stay safe...
