Zachary Kashkett is a celebrated editor, best known for Sins of Our Mother (2022), and Shawn Mendes: In Wonder (2020). In his latest endeavor and directorial debut, "The Mad Writer", Zachary also wrote, produced, and edited the documentary which has its world premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah this January.
We talked with Zachary about his lifelong friendship with his subject, Hip Hop phenom L'Orange, the difficulties of completing this almost 9-year work, and the central message for the project with highlights self-care and acceptance.
