IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW.
Steve Rogers of the Energy Conservatory will discuss the performance of various brands and types of capture hoods (Air Flow Hoods) in the controlled lab set up at The Energy Conservatory. The lab set up mimics residential duct runs and testing includes a variety of common grilles and various positioning of the hoods. Steve will also cover a real world example of balancing a home in Minnesota.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
During the webinar, Steve Rogers said something incorrect when asked about using a DG-1000 with the TEC Flow Blaster Hood. He stated that he didn’t think the DG-1000 works with the Flow Blaster hood. This is incorrect, it does work. The flow measurement in the Flow Blaster Hood is the same device as in the Duct Blaster. So to use a DG-1000 with a Flow Blaster Hood, you would simply choose a Duct Blaster as your flow device and then set it to cruise at 0 pressure to match the pressure in the hood to the room pressure.
