Winner of the men´s race was world record holder Kibiwott Kandie (KEN) in 59:35 which equalled the world lead in 2021 and is a new course record improving the former mark of 59:50 from 2019 by Amdework Walelgn (ETH). Since Ruth Chepngetich (KEN) achieved a truely sensational new world record in the women´s half of 1:04:02 also some relevant splits and information on her achievement are given in this report.
